Web Seminar Tomorrow

Mechanical Simulation is presenting a series of web seminars designed to discuss focused solutions to a variety of vehicle dynamics challenges. These online seminars are the perfect opportunity to learn more about our software from the convenience of your own PC! All you need is an internet connection and speakers or a phone line to watch and listen to our applications and experts in action, as they present features of the software and respond to your questions.

Please join us in 2006 for the following seminars:

Powertrain Web Seminar Available

Earlier this month Dr. Thomas Gillespie conducted a web seminar titled “Powertrain Applications in CarSim”. This popular seminar was updated from an earlier version to include more examples in CarSim and is now available as a recorded seminar.

CarSim software includes a powertrain model that can be used to better understand powertrains and their interaction with vehicle performance. This web seminar was created to demonstrate the use of the powertrain and its broad capabilities in a number of examples including the following:

  • Using the minimum powertrain to propel the vehicle at constant speed or on a speed profile
  • The vehicle launch (start-up) process for evaluating this aspect of drivability
  • Transmission controls – how to set up and control shifting
  • Performance differences with front wheel and rear wheel drives
  • Two versus four-wheel drive – off-road mobility advantages
  • Torque vectoring with a yaw-control differential
  • Fuel consumption simulation on the EPA Urban Cycle

To view any recorded seminar you will be directed to the Webex site in which you will find a library of previously recorded seminars. Once there, you will need to enter a password. For more information about the seminars please go to our website.

Shows

See our software in December at the Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference in Orlando, Florida and at the Matlab Expo 2006 in Japan. Visitors will be able to see a live demonstration of our software and talk to CarSim experts.
