New Web Seminar Tomorrow

CarSim 7 is an extensive upgrade that involves substantial improvements in the architecture of the simulation environment. The software has hundreds of revisions and new features that add new capabilities and increase efficiency.

Please join us for a web seminar which will be hosted by David Hall titled "Events and Extending the Model Using VehicleSim Commands". David is a Senior Development and Consulting Engineer with Mechanical Simulation and was very instrumental in the development of CarSim 7.

This seminar will be held on Wednesday, July 11, at 10:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time. It is designed to give both current and future users of CarSim 7 a more in-depth look at the additional features of this powerful new software product. For more information or to enroll in the seminar please go to our website.

Mechanical Simulation Again Sponsors CMU For DARPA Grand Challenge

Mechanical Simulation is pleased to be highlighted in SAE's Automotive International Magazine as a sponsor of the Carnegie Mellon University Tartan Racing Team in the DARPA Grand Challenge. The 2007 DARPA Grand Challenge is a driverless race taking place on November 3, 2007 in an unnamed urban setting in the western United States. University and industry teams are designing and building electronically-controlled autonomous vehicles, hoping to win the $2 million first prize. Teams are told of the exact route only two hours before the race begins, and then program their vehicles for final race directions.

For more information about the race please go to the DARPA website.

Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics Translated

Our co-founder, Dr. Tom Gillespie, wrote what many consider the handbook of vehicle dynamics. Originally published by SAE in 1992, "Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics" has been translated in many different areas of the world, including Taiwan, Korea, and now China. For more information, including ordering the book from China, please click here.

Call For Papers

Mechanical Simulation invites automotive engineers and researchers to submit papers for the Mechanical Simulation European User Conference on September 17-18, 2007 in Germany. We invite you to present a technical paper, demonstrating how Mechanical Simulation products support innovation and improve product development processes. To be considered as a presenter, please e-mail your abstract to Doug Orrin.
