Universities Use Mechanical Simulation’s CarSim and SuspensionSim to Gain Competitive Advantage

ANN ARBOR, Mich., June 22, 2010 – Formula SAE and Mini Baja teams from universities around the world are using CarSim vehicle dynamics and SuspensionSim kinematic simulation software from Mechanical Simulation Corporation, Ann Arbor, Mich. The use of this software helps university teams to gain an advantage over competitors by allowing them to run and evaluate multiple vehicle designs in minutes. CarSim and SuspensionSim allow the student teams to have complete control over the simulation and help to optimize designs quickly and easily.

According to Terry Rhoades, Mechanical Simulation president, “These university students represent the vehicle engineers of the future. SAE student design competitions, which include Formula SAE and SAE Mini Baja, are terrific opportunities for the students, providing a wealth of real-world experience and the thrill of competition. We are very pleased to support the efforts of these student engineering teams.”

The following university teams have used CarSim and SuspensionSim during the past several years, and many have posted YouTube videos describing their recent efforts and results:
