CarSim, TruckSim, and BikeSim version 2021.1 Released

ANN ARBOR, Mich., July 1, 2021 – Mechanical Simulation Corporation is proud to announce the release of the 2021.1 versions of the vehicle simulation tools CarSim®, TruckSim®, and BikeSim®.

Mechanical Simulation Corporation is celebrating its 25th year in business in 2021. The company’s vehicle dynamics software has helped to change how the industry prototyped, designed, and tested vehicles as CarSim, TruckSim, and BikeSim became familiar names in the industry.

The company’s commitment to vehicle dynamics simulation leadership has never wavered. Mechanical Simulation Corporation provides car, truck, and motorcycle simulation software to more than 200 OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, hundreds of universities and government research groups, and the software is used on hundreds of driving simulators.

Part of the software’s success has been due to its extensive and comprehensive sets of example data, including simulations. The database contains thousands of parameters and tables that define generic vehicles and components, plus sample events, maneuvers, and environments.

A new feature in 2021.1 allows the user to build a database covering examples showing only features of interest. The Database Builder has six different data groups to choose from: Minimal, Basic ADAS, Basic Vehicle Dynamics, Standard ADAS, Standard Vehicle Dynamics, and Full. This feature enables users to quickly build databases with examples suited for either new or experienced users, in fields of ADAS, vehicle dynamics, or both. The Database Builder also allows databases to be built with a selection of additional examples that use optional, specialized features, such as Trailers, Sensors, Desktop Driving Simulator, Real-Time systems, and external tire models.

The company looks forward to celebrating its silver anniversary with its customers, colleagues, family, and friends; and looks forward to continuing to serve the community that made it what it is today.
