Join us at the SAE 2009 World Congress

Mechanical Simulation staff will be on hand at the SAE 2009 World Congress on April 20-23, 2009 at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan in Booth #909.

Please visit our booth to discuss how automotive engineers use CarSim and TruckSim to design, test, and validate emerging automotive control technologies while compressing product development times and minimizing physical testing costs. In a time of stressed engineering resources and distributed engineering, we will demonstrate how derived and/or measured vehicle data can be used throughout the entire product design process and confidentially shared with your engineering partners. We will also demonstrate how simulation can enhance every phase of the development process: developing initial specifications, developing control logic using Simulink or LabView, validating the model with a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test stand, and finally, driving your design on a driving simulator. In addition to demonstrating four different HIL platforms, we will also introduce CarSim 8 featuring:

  • New Sensor, Traffic, and Scenario tools for designing, testing, and validating active safety systems (ADAS)
  • Data encryption feature allowing users to confidentially share vehicle data
  • Runtime visualization screen
  • Several user productivity enhancements
  • Expanded 3D road capabilities and features
  • New FTire model
  • Several math model enhancements
