Top Products Of The Year

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Dec. 13, 2005 – Mechanical Simulation Corporation’s CarSim 6 has been selected as one of the top products of 2005 by Automotive Engineering International magazine. Appearing in the December 2005, issue, the feature includes “some of the top offerings from the industry’s component suppliers,” according to the magazine. The entry reads:

Mechanical Simulation’s CarSim 6 software offers a variety of environmental conditions and vehicle behaviors for a consistently close agreement between simulation and road testing. Enhanced to run faster and easier than the previous solution, the package allows engineers to simulate the dynamic behavior of light vehicles. The software animates simulated tests and generates over 500 output variables that can be plotted and analyzed with other software, including the “fish hook test” conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. CarSim 6 runs on Windows desktop and laptop PCs. The more than 75 enhancements made in the software include an upgraded and extended graphical user interface and database with more than 40 new features, extended math models with over 25 new features including extended nonlinear and asymmetric suspension kinematics and alternate tire models, and extended event management that allows interactive variables to act as triggers to simulate complicated test sequences.
