Mechanical Simulation Releases SuspensionSim 9.0

ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 21, 2015 - Mechanical Simulation Corporation is proud to announce the release of SuspensionSim 9.0 vehicle dynamics software. According to Dr. Michael Sayers, CEO and Chief Technology Officer, "We are in the process of upgrading all of our products, starting with CarSim 9.0 last year, and finishing with SuspensionSim and BikeSim this month. SuspensionSim 9.0 benefits from the major enhancements to the visualization tools, the database, and the overall architecture. In addition, as the first major update since the introduction in 2014 of SuspensionSim as a VehicleSim product, major improvements were made that are specific to the custom modeling capabilities of SuspensionSim."

The most visible change involves VS Visualizer, the tool used to generate engineering plots and videos for simulated cameras. Plots and videos are now synchronized. Values of all plotted variables can be displayed digitally, also in synch with each other and any animations.

SuspensionSim serves both as an advanced modeling tool for expert "Model Builders" and as a parametric user-friendly simulation tool for "Model Users." The GUI and documentation have been refined to isolate information of interest to a Model User, such that that the user can adjust the suspension model using just a few data screens. After making changes, the user can click a single button to simulate a set of kinematics and compliance (K&C) tests and export an extensive data file for use in the vehicle simulation programs BikeSim, CarSim, and TruckSim.
