Mechanical Simulation Releases CarSim, TruckSim and BikeSim 2020.1
Mechanical Simulation is proud to announce the 2020.1 release
of the VehicleSim products (CarSim, TruckSim and BikeSim) vehicle dynamics software. This release has major improvements
in the overall software behavior, the vehicle model, the GUI and database, controls, terrain and scene building tools, and support of third-party software.
Customers may download the new software versions of CarSim, TruckSim, and BikeSim 2020.1 from the user section of our website.
Following are some of the major new features in CarSim:
- More support for simulations with multiple vehicles, even without external software
- More options for using ADAS sensors and targets, including vehicle sensing vehicle, and pedestrian sensing vehicle for collision evaluation
- New steered front suspension with virtual kingpin axis
- Support for thousands of dSPACE runs without unloading
- Improvements in stack tools: Scene Builder, S-Functions, Python support, high-performance computing (HPC), Unreal Engine

Mechanical Simulation will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2020 in observation of Independence Day.
End of Support Notification
With the upcoming product release of VehicleSim (BikeSim, CarSim, SuspensionSim and TruckSim) version 2020.1 in June, Mechanical Simulation will no longer provide support for the following:
End of Support in June 2020
MATLAB/Simulink version 2012b
Additionally, support for the following will end in December with the release of VehicleSim version 2021.0:
End of Support in December 2020
MF-Tyre/Swift 6.2 and 7.3
MATLAB/Simulink version 2013a
Previously released versions of VehicleSim products will continue to function with third-party software after the End of Support date, but Mechanical Simulation will no longer offer technical support or guarantee its functionality.
